These terms govern your use of the BusinessNeeds company status-check service and dashboard. By creating an account or paying for a check, you agree to them.
Who we are
BusinessNeeds (Pty) Ltd is an independent, privately-owned consultancy. We are notCIPC, SARS or the DTIC, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by them. We help you understand and fix your company's standing; we do not act as a government authority.
The service
For a fee (currently R99), we check every company registered against your ID number and report its current standing on the companies register. Where something needs attention — such as outstanding annual returns — we offer to fix it for a separate, clearly-quoted fee (from R650).
Company standing we show is indicative, based on register data at the time of checking. A specialist verifies before any filing work begins. Our fees are advisory/service fees and exclude any statutory amounts payable to CIPC, SARS or another authority, which are your responsibility.
Your account
You must use your ownSouth African ID number, and you confirm you are entitled to check the companies linked to it. Keep your access to your email secure — that is how we verify it's you. You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you give us.
Payment
Payments are processed securely by our third-party payment provider. The R99 check fee is credited toward any fix you order with us. Prices may change; the price shown at checkout is the price you pay.
No guarantee of outcome
We report what the register shows and we act diligently on any filing you instruct, but we cannot guarantee a particular outcome or timeframe — processing by CIPC and other authorities is outside our control. Nothing we provide is legal, tax or financial advice.
Refunds
The status check is a digital service delivered immediately once your payment is confirmed and the check runs. If the check fails to run due to a fault on our side and we cannot resolve it, we will refund the check fee. For filing services, refund terms are set out in the quote you accept before work begins. If you think you've been charged in error, contact us within [7 days]and we'll put it right.
Acceptable use
Don't use the service to check IDs that aren't yours, to break the law, or to disrupt or misuse the platform. We may suspend accounts that do.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid us for the service in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
